We had an emergency situation with our wooden garage door at 12:30 AM. When the door started to open, the old tension spring on the right-side track broke, causing the rear portion of the spring to impact and break the track supports, causing the track to fall down. The right side of the garage door remained down, while the left side was partially lifted. The door was jammed in this slanted position and the top portion was off the track and leaning into the garage. I called Precision at about 1 AM and was quickly connected to their answering service. The agent was very professional, collected my contact information, and scheduled a service call for later that day at about 10 AM. I received text and email confirmations of the service date/time. The repair technician, Tom, promptly arrived at about 10:30 AM, surveyed the damage, and suggested repair options. He then requested assistance from his supervisor, Lou, in managing this extensive repair job. Tom and Lou carefully straightened the garage door, rebuilt the right-side track supports, replaced all the rollers and springs, and got the door smoothly moving on the original tracks. A new LiftMaster garage door opener was installed with a new keypad and remote controls. The repair was completed the same day. Our 50-year-old garage door now operates smoothly, quietly, and better than before. The repair technicians were professional, fully explained the repair plan, worked carefully to avoid damage to the garage door and the car that was still parked in the garage, tested the new installation, answered all my questions, cleaned up, and maintained a sense of humor during a challenging repair operation. The total repair cost was shared with me before the work started and there were no surprise additional charges. This was my first customer experience with Precision. I will certainly contact them in future if repairs are needed, and will recommend them to neighbors as a reputable repair service with highly competent technicians.

What can I say about Precision Door Service. I called because I used Precision before and was impressed by their fast response after my first call, as well as, their workers, including customer service. Firstly, the estimator Tammy Dehaan was awesome, she understood my dire needs and urgency due to the damage caused by the Ida storm. Secondly, Wilmer, the garage door expert/installer was pleasant and completed the installation of my remote garage door in a timely fashion, the job was done neatly/professionally, he answered all my questions/concerns with a pleasant attitude and Wilmer stated that I am not to hesitate to call Precision Doors if I have any issues with the garage doors. Precision installed garage door opener in 2007 and after 14 yesrs just needed replacement of springs, pulleys and cables, motor in good condition. I chose to call your service because on your website, you promised a response in four hours. Your dispatch did not quite meet that, but when your technician Thomas Sackmann arrived, it was a blessing. Our entire spring assembly and cables were a twisted mess and we feared that our holiday plans would be ruined. I had garage doors installed by another company in Monmouth county in my Essex county ( they installed doors when I lived in Monmouth county and installed in this home again) home. When I called for a repair, they said they wouldn’t come up here again. They referred me to use Precision Overhead Garage Doors and said they were excellent, they weren’t lying. I called them this Monday. I apologize I forgot the woman who answered the phones name. She was very professional and but cordial as well. She gathered all my information and said can we come tomorrow, is that okay? With the pandemic in place, I was aghast. Usually, when I have called other companies for other work on my home, they are giving a 2-3 week turnaround date. Of course tomorrow was great, she gave me a time span of 8am-12pm for tech to arrive. Next morning the tech called me @ 7:45 am and said he was on his way, would be at my house by 8am. Shocking. Jason arrived, looked at the doors and said whoever installed the doors, they did not use the correct rails to accommodate the garage door opener. Originally, I was told there was a $69 service; however, Jason waived that fee. Jason explained if I couldn’t rectify this issue with original installer, just call us back and they would figure out how to resolve this problem and then he left. I really could not believe how fast and professional this company was at customer service. I would highly recommend calling this company for any of your garage door needs. Some of the one stars you see on these google reviews, in my opinion, are miserable people that Mother Theresa would not be able to make happy. They look or pray for something to be wrong so they can proclaim and spread their negativity. I am being totally honest and genuine, I have nothing to gain from writing this review except to help you the Google reviewer make the correct choice.
