This was a safety check visit. I had not had my garage door opener looked at since it was installed 8 years ago and wanted to make sure it was tested and safe. I watched and learned as Ron inspected everything, educating me along the way as well as clearly explaining maintenance options for now and/or the future. Thank you Ron. My neighbor had recently recommended another company, but I saw many negative reviews for them and was hesitant to call. I searched the web and liked how Precision had the technicians listed on the web site along with reviews. That's a good idea. (It can be nerve-wracking waiting to see who shows up to do work and hoping they have the right experience for the problem.) I looked at the BBB site, and I liked how Doug didn't remove a review containing a complaint but added a note to explain it. Those 3 things led me to try them. I used their web site late Friday afternoon to email for an appointment and was called just minutes later and confirmed a next-day Saturday appointment...very convenient. I didn't have major work done today, but nevertheless, I'm so pleased with the whole quick and organized process, and Kelly and Ron, that I didn't even feel right using the coupon in the Value-Pak that I learned about from someone else's review, so I didn't! When the day comes when I need a repair or replacement, I will call back Precision.

I learned about Precision while looking for deals on Angie's List. I looked up the company phone number on the internet and it was easy to reach then and schedule an appointment. On the day of my appointment, Ron, the technician called to give me his eta. He was professional and patiently listened to my questions gave clear, understandable responses. I am happy with my new garage door opener and it works perfectly and extremely quieter than I expected. Thank you Ron and Precision Door Service.

I would like to say Ron was very neat, concerned about doing the job right. He took his time and was very careful during the repair. The problem I had was I lost my remote capability with a new logic board install. Ron thought it might be remote and keypad bad batteries, but it did not work after I replaced the remote and keypad with new batteries. I called liftmaster(the manufacturer)they indicated the logic board used(41A4252-6G) was not the correct replacement for my original logic board (41A5021-1H) and this could be the reason for the problem. I called precision and they returned the next day with a replacement logic board same number as originally installed. Ron indicated that's what the company uses as a replacement. Again, Ron was terrific he tried everything to increase range including extending the antenna. He indicated his original logic board may have been defective, but this is working. My problem is I have lost over half the range of my remote. It works within about 20 feet of the garage, before it worked within 70 feet of the garage door. I would have preferred the correct replacement which is 41A5021-1i rather than the the board precision said to use. I still think the correct replacement logic board should have been used. I would prefer my full range restored. When Joe Conte (service manager) read the review he called me. He scheduled a visit that day and was on time. He was able to correct the range issue so now my remotes works as designed and I am a happy camper I left the original review with this so a reader will know Precisilon immediately reacted to customer dissatisfaction and resolved the problem. I would recommend this company in the future.

After 30 years, I upgraded with two new garage door openers. Ron explained my choices and I made a decision on his clear concise information. I was pleased to have a "professional" who knew the product, spoke intelligently and in English. The work was done within 2 hours and the clean up was done without anyone knowing I had any work done. My Mom called Precision Door on July 2nd, and they told her that they would be there the next day between Noon and 5. Sure enough , Ron showed up on time. He explained to Mom and me (on the phone) the problem and how much it would cost to fix. Mom opted for a new opener (old one was over 12 years old) and I supported her decision. We had to leave before installation was complete, but Ron explained to us how to operate the opener before we left. Ron gets a thumbs up from Mom and me. We had used Precision before and were satisfied with their work and called them again when the 12 year old door opener stopped working. Ron tested the system, explained the options and spent considerable time trying the two least expensive possible corrections. They did not work; so he then very professionally installed the new opener and thoroughly explained and demonstrated its operation. The cost was higher than I expected but the quality of the work was well worth it.
