I chose Precision because of the positive reviews. The choice was to either repair the existing garage door or replace it with a new one. Lou, the technician, was honest in telling me the true cost of everything that needed to be done if I chose to install a new garage door (things like replacing the wood trim around the door, replacing the wood along the sides of the door so the new door would be anchored properly). It was expensive, but the service was good. I would give them 4 stars (average of 5 for service and 3 for price).

I want to rate 5 stars (each) to Kevin and Tommy today for tackling a super tough job - getting my garage door open!! I had an old (30 yrs) garage door opener and 1 bad remote that decided to quit. I called Precision on a Saturday evening and I was booked with an appt for Tuesday (that was perfect!) The auto text msg feature confirming my and reminding me of who was coming was great! Kevin called to let me know he was on his way (which was nice). Within 15-20 min after, he and Tommy showed up, and then I had to deliver scary news - no other way to get into the garage!! They made phone calls and tried to pair a new remote to my opener, but nothing worked. It was a dire situation and not looking good. I was willing to let them cut the door and dismantle it, and I went into the house while they continued to work the problem. Approximately 5 minutes later, I heard a noise and saw that they had opened the door! Ahhhh!! So happy!!! The door was not damaged either! I immediately gave them permission to install a new garage door opener and it is gorgeous and working! I cannot say enough how much I appreciate these guys - they are top notch, professional (and strong too!!) Thank you - thank you - thank you again!!!

Matt just came to service our garage door and was exceptional from start to finish! He explained all options thoroughly and finished the job quickly with high quality work. He had me come out and work the door several times ensure its operation was satisfactory and explained all the updates that were made. If I could have given zero stars I would have, but they do not let me do so. Almost 5 years ago I had Precision come and install a new garage door, a lift system for the door (top of the line) with a keypad and two remotes. Not even 5 years later my keypad stops working correctly and will not open the door. I finally call to have a technician come out, I am not home but my husband is. When I get home he tells me they charged over $200 for a new keypad. I am upset because this seems very expensive for a keypad and I do not feel it should have died so soon. I call about 1 hour after the technician has left my house (I have nothing bad to say about the technician or the women who I spoke with on the phone) and called customer service. I was told that I would need to speak to management and they will not be in until Monday. She took my information and said they will call on Monday. At 4pm on Monday I still did not receive a call so I called back. I was told they would try to get a hold of management and have them call me. NO call Monday. On Tuesday still not call by 3pm. I call them and finally get management. I do not know if they were hoping I would go away if they did not call or not, but I was already displeased by their lack of care for their customers. I asked the management if I should be expected to have to replace my keypad every 5 years because I think that I should have been told that before buying the product. I was told that it should have lasted a lot longer and this was unusual and should not happen again. Once I was told this, I then asked why I was charged over $200 to fix something that was clearly defective. How do they not back the products that they are selling? The response I got was that the manufacture only warranties it for 1 year so they can’t do anything. I stated again how do you as a large company not back the products you sell, because you are not if it is clearly defective and you charged me so much to replace it. Then I am told a keypad should only be $99. He looks up my information and I was charged a package to do a diagnostic and get a keypad, something I did not ask for. So I had to pay $100 over what I should have. Management finally says the best they can do is give you me 2 year warranty on the new keypad, which I flip out to. If it should last 10-15 years what is a 2 year warranty doing. I tell him I am done and will be writing a review about how they do not back their products. I then get told I would get a full refund. I month later and no check. Clearly this company does not care about its clients, is dishonest, disloyal, and does not back their defective products, let alone one that is not.

Imagine my surprise this morning when I realized that our cars were trapped in the garage due to a torsion spring that snapped overnight. John from Precision Door showed up on time, replaced both torsion springs and adjusted them, and now we're back in business. I chose Precision Door based on their website information, prompt service and prior customer ratings, and I was not disappointed.

Phil did a great job installing new torsion springs and a new garage opener. Unfortunately, I didn't get the opportunity to review the detailed quote prior to agreeing to perform the work. My mistake, I should have asked. If I had reviewed the details, I would have declined the installation of 12 new nylon rollers at a cost of $276. As a senior on fixed income, this was an expense I didn't need to incur.
