The firm is generally professional and attends appointments on time although does not respond to complaints. The technician who showed up appeared not to be not familiar with a standard, basic Genie door opener and how to trouble shoot a reported problem (including asking for help from others). Furthermore, despite determining that the motor worked, the technician attempted to upsell by recommending to install a new replacement motor, at significant and unexpected cost.
Chris, Because your review came in with a first name only it is impossible to identify you in our data base. How do I respond to this complaint? I am the owner of Precision Door and would like to discuss this with you. How old was the opener? Does it make sense putting money into an old opener especially if it doesn't meet ul325 compliance? If the motor worked why did you call us? I'm not saying we did right by you or not because there is to little info to determine. Please call me at 888-490-8700

jeff came back the next day and spent time really scrutinizing the motor thus discovered the broken socket (thing). His determination and knowledge were really put to the test and he did a great job. Our garage door once again runs smoothly and efficiently. Jeff did not leave any garbage or wrappers. The extra effort to make sure no screws or clear wrappers are left on the floor is always appreciated as was Jeff's politeness.
