Precision Garage Door of Paramus

The company gave me a 4 hour window for the appointment, but Randy still came late to look at my broken garage door opener. I told him that the sprocket broke off and and I showed him my perfectly good sprocket cover that he took from me and shoved it into his van and I never got that back. He took a slight peek at the opener, then worked on his iPad for 10 minutes, then came up with two astronomical and highly unethical prices. He wanted to charge me $1250 for replacing a $20 sprocket or $1500 for a new opener. I feel violated, angry and disappointed by highway robbery style business, not to mentioned they basically stole my perfectly functional part of my opener. I called them about it three times, but I am just getting the run around. Needless to say I don't only "Not recommend" them, but I warn everybody to stay away from Paramus Precision Garage door. I intend to report the incident to the BB, as well.

We had Precision install a new door replacing our old wooden door some years ago. Each time we've called for service, Precision has immediately arranged for an appointment. Pro Booking online: fast and easy, my requested time was easily available with several time slot options. Frequent text reminder, a plus. Day of service: Reminder sent via text, with name of serviceman, tracking of vehicle and its arrival lessened the anxiety and frustration of having to wait for an entire 4-5 hour window. Serviceman: Alan R arrived 5 minutes ahead of schedule, very professional and when he saw the problem, he also added some more items of concern but without any sales pressure. Job: He said the job can be done in 2 hours and he was right on the dot. He then explained his work in detail, and showed a very operational garage door at the end of the job. Con Price: I was surprised $$$ but accepted the price because I felt the job and experience was very good, but the invoice did not show the breakdown of the parts and labor cost so I would know the prevailing and comparable cost from other contractors.
