Setting up an appointment (same day) was simple and efficient; communication was great following the initial call. My repairmen, John Fahey, was knowledgeable and friendly. He laid out a few options and went through the pros and cons of each. I initially chose to have a new garage door opener system installed and to replace all of the hardware as a large spring and cable had failed. The electrical hook up was not ideal for the new system so we opted just to replace the hardware. Although I did not get a quote from other garage repair/installation companies, I did search the price of the components installed. The mark-ups seemed pretty high compared to the prices online (even including a $200/hour installation fee). I would love a company that sold the parts at cost or a modest premium and then charged $200/hour for service, though I do not believe that is typical in this industry or similar industries (e.g. AC repair/installation).

I had a wonderful experience with Precision Overhead Garage Door Service this morning. Booking was extremely easy, and they did a great job communicating with me in advance of the day of service. The service window was 8AM-12PM, and they texted me just after 8AM to let me know they would be there at 9. They also sent the name of the technician and a picture of him so I would know who to expect. Kevin Stasiak arrived promptly at 9AM, quickly and coherently laid out what he was going to do, how the process would work, etc. Within 10 minutes he had come up with a plan of action, and gave me four different solutions to choose from, clearly laying out the differences between the options in terms of the technical details as well as the price. He answered all my questions thoroughly and after I made my choice he went right to work. He completed the repairs/installed the new motor and system within an hour, and then showed me exactly how to work everything. He stayed there while I tested everything out to make sure it worked and I knew what I was doing. Kevin was awesome, both technically and personally. We chatted for a few moments about our families and it was a very pleasant experience having him work on our garage door. 10/10 would recommend Precision Overhead Garage Door Service and Kevin specifically.

We had an emergency situation with our wooden garage door at 12:30 AM. When the door started to open, the old tension spring on the right-side track broke, causing the rear portion of the spring to impact and break the track supports, causing the track to fall down. The right side of the garage door remained down, while the left side was partially lifted. The door was jammed in this slanted position and the top portion was off the track and leaning into the garage. I called Precision at about 1 AM and was quickly connected to their answering service. The agent was very professional, collected my contact information, and scheduled a service call for later that day at about 10 AM. I received text and email confirmations of the service date/time. The repair technician, Tom, promptly arrived at about 10:30 AM, surveyed the damage, and suggested repair options. He then requested assistance from his supervisor, Lou, in managing this extensive repair job. Tom and Lou carefully straightened the garage door, rebuilt the right-side track supports, replaced all the rollers and springs, and got the door smoothly moving on the original tracks. A new LiftMaster garage door opener was installed with a new keypad and remote controls. The repair was completed the same day. Our 50-year-old garage door now operates smoothly, quietly, and better than before. The repair technicians were professional, fully explained the repair plan, worked carefully to avoid damage to the garage door and the car that was still parked in the garage, tested the new installation, answered all my questions, cleaned up, and maintained a sense of humor during a challenging repair operation. The total repair cost was shared with me before the work started and there were no surprise additional charges. This was my first customer experience with Precision. I will certainly contact them in future if repairs are needed, and will recommend them to neighbors as a reputable repair service with highly competent technicians.

Precision installed garage door opener in 2007 and after 14 yesrs just needed replacement of springs, pulleys and cables, motor in good condition. This was my first time using Precision and I would use them again. Their customer communication tools (emails, texts and phone calls) were extremely detail oriented and timely. Technician was professional, knowledgeable and had all the materials to complete our fix insight. I didn’t get a chance to compare pricing vs another contractor and would guess that Precision is on the higher end but you get what you pay for.

We have had a really great experience with Precision Door. Kevin helped us extend the life of our garage door/opener when we first moved in (installation of new springs, which are still under warranty) and, 6 years later, recently installed a new motor for us. When it became clear there was an issue with the motor, Kevin returned and wouldn’t rest until the issue was resolved, which meant swapping out the motor for a new one (the very next morning!).
