I received afternoon appointment on same day I called. Technician Andrew called prior to arriving on time. He explained the diagnostic procedure prior to explaining three option choices and pricing for each. Once I made my decision, he started the installation which was completed in a few hours. He checked the work area prior to leaving making sure nothing was left in the area. Andrew was very courteous and professional throughout the repair process. The Overhead Doors were installed in 2000 by Precision and still look great.

Ricky C. came over to do a repair job. One of our springs had broken. Honestly our garage door opener was old and garage doors are one of those things that need basic maintenance every so often but most of us never do. anyhow, Ricky and Ethan from Precision Garage door Got the job done replacing rollers, springs, and the door opener itself. My garage door opener failed after 25 years. The technician Rob diagnosed that the motor could not be replaced and recommended a replacement system. The new system has many upgrades from the original system and works great. Rob was courteous, knowledgeable and installed the new system in less time than quoted. He walked me through the operation until I was satisfied. It was a great experience!

I chose Precision Overhead because of the 24 hour service. I was not only unable to open the garage but locked out of the front door. I was disappointed to learn I'd have to wait till the next day but early the next morning I received a phone call from a lovely woman who moved my appointment up to that morning. Killian McKnight arrived on time, figured out the problem and waited with us until the locksmith arrived so he could inspect the whole mechanism. He was professional, personable and knowledgeable. Alan arrived right on time and made efforts to repair our 28 year old openers but one was beyond repair and the other on it's last leg so we moved quickly to replacement. Alan thoroughly explained the issues and options. He had everything he needed on his truck and had both done openers and keypads and switches installed in just a few hours time. I am extremely satisfied with the product and the service at the time of installation. Their tech Ethan was knowledgable and did a great job. However, I’m only giving this company three stars, because of their high pricing and poor customer service response after the fact. I originally called Precision because one of the springs on my garage door broke, and I wanted to get an estimate for repair. Ethan suggested that I should also think about having the garage door unit replaced at the same time as the springs, since it was almost 17 years old. I was given three quotes for the work and picked the middle quote, which was just over $3,000. Ethan said he had the supplies to do the job right then and there, so I gave him the ok. After the work was completed, and I finally got to sit down and look at the bill in my email, I had a few questions regarding the high prices on some of the the charges, so I reached out to the Pompton Lakes office on 2/12/26. The woman who answered took my information, and assured me that she would have the owner reach out to me by the end of the day. That never happened. I then replied to the text message I received from "Rob, the Service Manager" at Precision on the day the tech came to my home. In the text message, he asked me to contact him if I had any questions, which I did. I contacted him by text on 2/13/26. On 2/14/26, he told me that he was the person that was supposed to get back to me on the on the 12th, but never did. He then stated that he would have a higher up contact me on Monday, 2/16/26. Until now, no one has contacted me, and it's 2/28/28. All I wanted to do was discuss my concerns about some of the part pricing, and no one responded. This company needs to do a better job of customer service at the corporate level.
