The service and the internet e mail was great. The cost to repair a damaged spring was much more than expected. I feel that I did not need the full rebuild package. One cable broke and i expected to replace the cable and possibly the spring. I felt your service person was there to sell the complete package and not repair and replace the damaged parts.
Mr. Lindenauer: We can make a door function by replacing a spring and cable and it will certainly be the cheapest way to fix a door. However, the spring on the other side of the door has stretched and contracted the same number of time as the broken spring. When we get approval to replace both springs we do so, because our experience has taught us that the other spring will break shortly thereafter. the springs are rated in cycles(1 up and 1 don equals a cycle0. We believe ultimately that you should make the final decision as to what service would fit you needs. I recently had a problem with my garage door opener. I went to the manufacturer's web site "liftmaster" and was referred to you. I was impressed with your contact person's thoroughness and timely service appointment.In less that 24 hrs. the service technician (Brian S)called to report he was on the way, he arrived ahead of the scheduled appointment. I was impressed with this young man's demeanor, bearing and professionalism. He quickly diagnosed the problem and initiated the repair. He even re-routed the new wiring for better concealment and less exposure to damage. This young man is a credit to himself and your company.I certainly hope I will not soon need another repair, but if I do I'll certainly call you again. I would highly recommend your company to anyone needing garage door service.
