The ordering process to replace the door, opener and all hardware was easy and the estimated cost was reasonable and within my budgeted amount. The technician arrived on time and the project proceeded smoothly. The technician, John Bunkoski, explained all aspects of the work, provided instructions on operating the door and all the safety features and explained all functions of the controls. Garage Door cable snapped at 6:00pm on a Friday night; called Precision Saturday at around noon, explained the problem. I was told by the Pompton PLains location that they could handle the problem and get someone to my house between 2:00 and 6:00. Immediately after hanging up, the appointment was confirmed via Text and e-mail so I knew there would be no miscommunication about the appointment; this was followed up by a text from the Service Manager (Rob). They assigned the work order to their Service Tech, Jon Wilson who called me at 1:40 advising he was 25 minutes away (arrived at 2:05); I also received confirmation messages from Precision that Jon was on his way. Upon arrival, Jon and I reviewed the “problem door” as well as the 2nd garage door. He inspected both doors and gave me 3 repair options (Good, Better, Best); we selected the “Better” option. Jon immediately went to work and kept me informed what he was doing and changing/fixing (we had him replace the Springs, Cables, Rollers, and secure Railing brackets that came dislodged when the cable snapped). I have to say, Jon was EXCELLENT and was extremely attentive to his work, and checked everything THOROUGHLY upon completion, went over everything with me and asked if I had any questions. Can’t put enough praise on Precision and especially Jon for his excellent work and HIGHLY RECOMMEND Precision if you have any issue with your garage Door!!

The website was easy to use and scheduled for the next day. The tech was friendly and efficient. I usually get multiple quotes, I went with replacing the opener. I paid $1,500 which I came to realize was very high, well, when my boyfriend gasped! And they claimed to give me a $300 discount. I think I’ll get a handyman next time.

He even offered to pick me up a cup of coffee on his way here. I can honestly say that I have never had that happen before. Having nothing to do with coffee, Shane immediately diagnosed the issue, gave me a quote for the repair, and then cheerfully and professionally handled everything. Ricky, the technician, was great. He took the time to explain how he would do the job, made me aware we have a lifetime warranty on parts, provided information on the overall condition of our garage door, the parts, and the motor. While he was working, he kept me apprised of his progress and any issues he encountered. I actually felt educated after he finished the job. He was very friendly and personable. We’ve lived in our current house for 33 years and have used Precision exclusively for our garage door over that time. Their record keeping is fantastic too, as they know our complete repair history whenever they have to come out.
