YOUR SERVICE WAS GOOD.BUT YOUR PRICE FOR A DOOR REBUILD WAS TO HIGH. AFTER YOUR SERVICE I CALLED OTHER DOOR COMPANY FOR PRICE QUOTES ON THE SAME SERVICE.ALL AROUND XXX WITH TAXS. I WOULD NOT RECCOMAND YOUR COMPANY TO ANY BODY DUE TO YOUR PRICES.

Dear John, Thank you for your comments. We are not the cheapest garage door company in New Jersey. I know my competitor will quote lower prices, especially over the phone. If you look further than just price you will probably find all things are not equal. Our garage door rebuild comes with a lifetime warranty. Most companies only offer 1 to 3 year warranties because of the type of parts they use. The biggest difference in price however is not related to that. One of our largest expenses is related to insurance. Workerâ??s compensation Insurance is by far the most expensive and is required by state law. You would be amazed by how many contractors who donâ??t carry it. If an accident was to occur and the coverage was not in place the worker can actually sue the home owner. These two topics above are some of the items that come into play when we are establishing our prices. With that being said; we still carry a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee. Speedy response to a service call. Technician was very curteous, seemed knowledgable and replaced existing garage door opener. Convinced me that existing opener was at least 17 years old and replacing necessary parts might be close in cost to a new opener. Also informed me of safety issues and installed the new garage door opener in a very efficient manner.

I was very disappointed with Precision's service. I had a repair issue because of a broken cable, and instead of fixing what was broken they wanted to replace everything and charge $XXX! If the customer just wants a repair, give the customer what they want! And for that they charge a $XX service fee!

Dave, Thank you for your feedback. I had a discussion with your technician. He told me that your door was in an unsafe state. In particular, he told me that your bottom panel was rotted and would need to be replaced. I know you have elected to have no work done and have replaced the individual broken cable. Of course this your prerogative, however, we would never recommend you do this. Stainless steel cables do not break because of the weight of the door. Cables break because they are dragging through pulleys that are not turning or rubbing against something they shouldn't be. The best way to fix a door in this condition would be to rebuild the hardware and change the bottom section or replace the entire door. Tim recommended this to you and you have elected not to do it. The $69 service fee we quoted you before coming out to the house is not conditional of whether we do the work or not. I have reached out to you twice on the telephone to discuss this with you further. My goal is to have 100% customer satisfaction. If you call me back, I will make that happen. Regards.
