Susannah, I appreciate your input. Our technician Ron recommended replacement of the Garage door opener because you were experiencing intermittent problems with the existing opener. Yes we can try replacing circuit boards and that may fix the problem or it could reoccur again. There is no doubt that replacing the opener is more costly. The benefit is you know it will work. In retrospect if we were to do this again we would probably recommend the same thing again. Sorry we were not able to help you. Best wishes.

Noisy door was due to a bad gasket in the spring mechanism. Brandon quickly recognized the problem and rectified it. I was well pleased with the service

I chose Precision from your ad in the Morris County Yellows pages. It sounded familiar so I called on Wed. evening and was surprised to speak with someone who set up an appointment the next morning. Drew more than exceeded my expectations. He replaced the springs and other items needed in a timely and pleasant fashion.

I then called the office to give the technician my cell phone number as I waited in the garage. Apparently the information was not relayed to him. We were disappointed that the first thing discussed was a new garage door opener at a very high cost as opposed to having the parts to repair our current opener. Now we are waiting for a return visit in several days.

MR and Mrs Mallory, Thank you for reviewing our business. The reason we recommended opener replacement instead of repair has to do with the age and the condition of the existing motor. If it does not meet UL 325 compliance we will not repair due to safety issues. I'm not sure why the keypad needed to be reprogrammed. Hopefully now that it has been corrected it will give you many years of trouble free operation. Best wishes, Doug
