I contacted Precision Garage on Tuesday late evening. Alan Ramirez was at our house on Wednesday morning to look at the garage door my wife banged while backing up. Alan was highly professional and courteus. He looked at the damage carefully and explained all options to me. He clearly demonstrated his expertise on the garage doors. We decided to replace the door. He carefully measured all dimensions, looked at matching colors etc. I highly commend Alan and Precision Garage and look forward to an early installation of the new garage door.

Unfortunately, the garage door opener was no longer available (company went out of business) and the universal opener he tried did not work. Thank you, Precision, and especially Shane! My garage door broke yesterday afternoon, I called immediately and Shane arrived this morning! He was absolutely polite and well-mannered! He even offered to pick me up a cup of coffee on his way here. I can honestly say that I have never had that happen before. Having nothing to do with coffee, Shane immediately diagnosed the issue, gave me a quote for the repair, and then cheerfully and professionally handled everything. He also checked a variety of garage door related things for me prior to leaving. I appreciate the service Precision provides, and having someone like Shane on your staff is a definite plus. Setting up an appointment (same day) was simple and efficient; communication was great following the initial call. My repairmen, John Fahey, was knowledgeable and friendly. He laid out a few options and went through the pros and cons of each. I initially chose to have a new garage door opener system installed and to replace all of the hardware as a large spring and cable had failed. The electrical hook up was not ideal for the new system so we opted just to replace the hardware. Although I did not get a quote from other garage repair/installation companies, I did search the price of the components installed. The mark-ups seemed pretty high compared to the prices online (even including a $200/hour installation fee). I would love a company that sold the parts at cost or a modest premium and then charged $200/hour for service, though I do not believe that is typical in this industry or similar industries (e.g. AC repair/installation).
