Lou grew up in Wayne, NJ and currently lives in a lake community in West Milford with his wife and two daughters. He comes from a law enforcement background and graduated from the University of Scranton with a B.S. in Criminal Justice. Lou enjoys ALL things outdoors: hunting, fresh & salt water fishing, ice fishing, camping, boating, lounging on the lake, hiking, BBQing, watching the sunset, and playing softball & football. His favorite teams are the NY Jets & NY Yankees. When he's not making customers feel wonderful by fixing their garage doors, Lou spends his time with friends and family, watches movies, enjoys time outdoors, and plays golf.

Your Technician Lou R was a complete professional. He arrived on time, was very pleasant, courteous and accommodating in resolving all issues I had with my garage door. On a bitterly cold day in February he completely rebuilt my garage door, installing new sprigs, cables, and rollers, as well as found the insulation piece to fit the bottom of my door. Despite the cold, he worked until the job was perfect. I give 5 stars to Lou R and Presision Garage Door!

Our Garage Door Opener had stopped working. Our Precision Technician, Lou, immediately diagnosed the problem, explained what needed to be done, described the various cost options, and got our sign-off to proceed with the work. The work was done and the Garage Door Opener was working again in no time. I needed to find "someone" in area to look at garage door problem and turned to the internet. You never know what you are getting but decided to take a chance and contact this company. Their web site was professional and appeared to be more than capable to take care of the problem. Their tel. was answered by a live operator and they arranged the appt. around my schedule. The service technician was scheduled to arrive between 12-4 on a Sat. but called earlier.....was friendly, efficient and took care of the minor problem within an hour. Very professional....took the time to explain the issue and how to prevent it from occurring in the future. Did not push products and left information if I ever needed future service. I would definitely use this company again in the future and highly recommend them - very well run.

This was our first experience with Precision. We must say that we used the phone book to find someone to repair our suddenly malfunctioning garage door. What a pleasant experience. The technician, Lou, was very professional, knowledgeable, and a gentleman. He explained what needed to be done, how long it would take to complete, and all the costs involved. The company and the technician, Lou, both deserve 5 stars. My garage door would not go down on a bitter cold day and Precision was able to fit me into the schedule even though it meant that Lou had to work a very long day. After determining that I needed a new opener, mine was at the end of its' life, Lou did great work and took time to clearly explain everything to me. It was a pleasure doing business with Precision and Lou.

I chose Precision Garage Door because the website was so customer friendly. I liked the idea that there were "do it yourself" videos on the site for customers to try to solve the problem themselves. Lou R. came out today...called ahead of appointment time for permission to come a little earlier. My garage door was intermittently working and other times stopping in the up or down position partway. Lou knew immediately that my problem was not my sensors. He checked the force buttons on the motor and indicated they were too low and moved them to a higher setting. He lubricated my rails while he was there. He explained why the problem was not with my sensors. Although my system is functioning overall, he did point out that the cables, springs, pulleys, and rollers could use replacement due to the age (16 years) of the system. He explained how the new rollers were made of better materials and how springs start to sag over time. He gave me a price if I wanted to pursue for the future. He also explained the lifetime warranty on parts and the labor warranty for 5 years if I proceed with parts replacement. Lou was courteous, clean cut, polite, and efficient. I would not hesitate to call Precision if I decide to proceed with the parts replacements.

Lou came to install a new exterior keypad as well as program the keypad in one of our cars. He was courteous and efficient - completing both jobs within 20 minutes. He walked me through how to re-program the keypad in the future (if needed). The quality of the keypad is far better than the one we had through Door Boy.

5***** Lou R installed my garage door opener in July. He was extremely professional, as well as personable. He took great care to explain and show me what he was doing. He return this month to fix the sensor that I had knocked off the door frame. Again, Lou called first, arrived on time, corrected the problem and fixed it so I can't create the same problem again. I called Precision for their hours of operation. My daughter came home from school and called me to say the door almost fell on her as she walked into the garage. Precision gave me a repair time that was not at all convenient and I asked for a different time. I was immediately given a time which was agreeable. I was told the technician would call me on his way to the job. I received two phone calls from Lou, first when he was on route to his next job and again after he assessed the job to give me an ETA. He was prompt, courteous, and professional. He installed new cables and replaced rollers. The night was freezing, and his personality deserved a coffee from Dunkin Donuts to warm him up!

We called our regular garage door people and they never called us back. Precision on the other hand,a few days earlier gave me advise on how I should fix the door. It worked for a few days and then it stopped. I called Precision back and they came right away. My tech, Lou, was polite, he diagnosed the problem and gave us the best advice for a solution that will take care of the problem for years. Lou performed the job quickly and explained to me and my wife exactly how to sync the garage door to our cars. I would give precision garage doors 5 stars and I will highly recommend them.

We wanted to give a review of the work Lou did on our garage door. The door would only open about 5 feet and stop. We called Precision made an appointment. Lou came out to our home. He called before he arrived and was able to come early, which worked better for us. Lou checked and said there were a lot of warn parts, including the main springs. Lou was able to replace the worn parts and the door now opens and closes much easier. We found Lou to be very professional and worked very hard to get the job done with as little disruption to our schedule as possible. We give Lou 5-Stars for his excellent work at our home. I called and got an appointment for service the next day. A 4 hour window was given and the operator took all pertinent information. The day of the appointment, Lou called 30 minutes before arrival. Lou arrived right on time. Personable, knowledgeable, pride of ownership are words I would use to describe Lou. My 29 year old garage door now works as good as new, all new parts were installed and Lou was thorough, making sure every last detail was covered. Money WELL spent!!
